The Oasis Resort, Cairns, Australia




The Metro Group’s first leisure project, The Oasis Resort, Cairns was officially opened in mid-June 1997. The four star resort hotel boasts of 306 rooms and 8 suites in a tropical-style resort setting with lush landscaping and a free-form lagoon style pool with a beach feature. The resort extends over 60% of a 20,232 square metres inner city site in Cairns, gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and Far North. Operated by Accor Asia Pacific, the resort hotel has won many awards. The Oasis Resort, Cairns, was divested in mid 2005.
