Gurney Plaza, Penang, Malaysia
Gurney Plaza, the retail mall component of the Gurney Park mixed development along Gurney Drive, was completed in 2001. The 8-storey, 2-basement retail mall, offers over 705,000 square feet of retail space and is the premier shopping destination in Penang, Malaysia. It offers a wide mix of retail and food and beverage outlets with a department store and a supermarket as anchor tenants. Gurney Plaza’s atrium is a popular venue for key events and promotions, drawing strong traffic flow into the retail complex. The Group had a 49% interest in Gurney Plaza which was sold in 2007.
